The ancient city
of Roma is broken down into 5 sections around the
original 7 hills:
1.)The Ancient Center
of the Capitoline and Palatine Hills,
2.) The "Centro
Storico" around Piazza Navona,
3.) The Esquiline Hill of the Northeast
section,
4.) The Vatican and
Trastevere sections of the Quirinal Hill and
the Aventine and
5.) Lateran Hills of Southeast
Roma.
Each section has its own sense of character and is
filled with sites and monuments that help identify
its place in Roman history.
